Ken at Lancaster Restorations in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, provided the resources to publish this information. If you would like your British Car painted and you are in driving distance of Vancouver, Ken offers either a complete restoration or he will work with you where you provide preparation and he only charges what his people invest in time and materials.  My Rover 2000 TC paint job was completed by craftsmen.  If a panel needed to be reduced to sheet metal due to rust - it was done.  Then the panel was painted with a two part red-brown primer which Mercedes guarantees for 5 years against rust reoccurance. The work was prepared and then painted with the exact match of Cameron Green as all the other panels ever painted that colour.

Rover Paint Codes
(If you need other Rover colours listed, contact the webmaster)

The formulas noted below are those provided by the paint company, "Spies-Hecker".  They are believed to be the same colours provided to Standox and Glasurit.  The code numbers are likely to be different although Glasurit and Standox suppliers should have a reference book of matching numbers. These are mostly for Permacron 257 paint which is a two part acrylic enamel paint (otherwise see note beside the paint).
Notes: The tints start with the top one noted and the quantity in grams for the final quantity noted in pints and quarts.  Use the principle of extension to obtain final quantities more or less than those provided.
You would be using a scale which had a zeroing function to take into account the weight of your empty paint container. You add the first colour tint to get to the first quantity number.  You then add the next tint to bring the total quantity of paint, so far, to the next quantity number. You add the third tint to bring the total to the third value in grams. You continue adding the required tints until you reach the end amount which is the required paint quantity.
