You can access your selector arm from inside the car........Pull the carpet 
back on the passenger side (North American cars) and take off the tunnel 
opening cover(the rubber bung) .......You,ll need a 3/8 socket drive with 
medium or long extension and a 1/2" socket and a light........Loosen the 
bolt on the selector arm and slide your gearshift forward or back to achieve 
your desired position.......The proper position is when you have the same 
angle from lever to tunnel finisher in 1st gear as you have in reverse to 
tunnel finisher...........You must recheck everything after tightening to 
see that all gears engage properly since you may have changed the angle 
slightly too..........If you look closely in the port you,ll see the arm in 
the slots and be able too adjust accordingly...........Double check your 
selector arm is in good shape at the bottom and has not worn.......You 
should still have the neoprene cover on the selector arm ball............If 
not it still works but is very notchy and vaque.......You can get new 
selector arms for it
