Walter, welcome to P6 ownership. I cannot remember for sure but I think 
there may be a means of adjusting tension available when you remove the seat 
back. Some do have a screw on the back of the seat that is threaded into the 
block that holds the headrest. Do you have that type? Does it tighten the 
headrest? I do not have headrests so I can only guess. If you are going to 
remove the seat back it has two metal tabs that are bent over the frame at 
the bottom. Then the seat back slides up to detach from a slot. Sorry I
