 At least one tappet (hydraulic lifter) rattles like blazes, especially
when the engine is cold.

The oil I have been using is Penrite HPR 30, which is a 20/60 multigrade.

My inclination is to give the motor a good flush with a commercial flush
additive followed by a second flush with light (sae 10) and then to fill
with straight sae30 (asb Fritz) - with a Nulon Teflon additive.

This is to avoid stripping the top end down to get at the lifter (s) and
replacing it (them)

Please let me have your thoughts.
