Hi Gianluca,

Have not heard from you for quite a while. Hope all is well in beautiful 
Italy.

I do not have a Rover catalog, but did some checking in a MOSS catalog for 
MGB's as a reference point. They have Biodegradable Tank Cleaner for $35.45, 
Fuel Tank Etching Liquid for $16.50 and the Tank Slushing Compound for 
$35.95. The slushing compound is the coating material. New tanks for MGB's 
are approximately $340.00.  If you do have a leak that must be welded, this 
can be dangerous because of the fumes. The tank must be filled with water or 
Carbon Dioxide to prevent an explosion from the heat. Ask if the welder is 
familiar with welding fuel tanks and I personally would not stick around to 
watch the job.

If you do locate one on e-bay, you may have trouble shipping it also because 
of the fumes. If you have a choice, I would recommend one from California, 
Arizona or Texas because of the dryer climates. Much less rust than for 
example the Northeastern states.

the tank of my TC is leaking, so I have to find a new
replacemento or to repair it with Tankerite, which is quite expensive.

Which could be the price of a new tank for my 1973 Rover 2000 TC ?
Any ideas?
I imagine shipping to Italy would be quite expensive...


Any suggestion and information will be appreciated.
