All the normal pressures (too many cars and a move to a house with less
garage space) plus the desire to get my Rover 10 and 1924 Crossley
tourer back on the road prompt the reluctant sale of my Blue 1951 Cyclops.
Engine, gearbox, brakes, drive train, diff and front end have all been
overhauled (new RH kingpin and both sides re-bushed).
She is 100pc reliable, with a very strong motor (first gear is only
needed on very steep hills or if there is a very full load) which starts
first time. Great touring car reluctantly being sold to make way for the
Rover 10 engine rebuild.
The interior needs tidying up. All the seats were re-upholstered in
leather by the previous owner and front section was re-carpeted. The
rear carpets and door trims are original.
All the gauges work, all the fittings work. She still has working
trafficators (semaphore signals) which are a simple bullet plug
re-connect to give that authentic 50s signalling experience, otherwise
intentions are signalled through the parking lights.
The Freewheeling is trouble free and the heater is toasty hot. There is
some slight damage to driver's door and a couple of minor paint scrapes.
There are also several large boxes of spares (including grilles,
radiator, rear bumper bar, chrome work, spare gauges, tool kit, etc),
plus workshop manual and rover distributor's spares book (with lots of
exploded diagrams)
No reasonable offer will be refused.
Pics available by email.
