[ROVERNET - UK] VIN numbers

Dirk,

The BMIHT at Gaydon, UK  hold Post WW2 Rover production records.  Reference
to James Taylors' book the classic Rovers 1945-1986 indicates that the VIN
(or Chassis number) decodes as a left hand drive (that is steering wheel on
the left) export 1959 Model year Rover105.  The last 5 digits indicate that
it is the 78th car made.
