Dear Paul,

The 2200 models had HIF6 carbs and not HS6 ones.

The 2200s had HS6, so a manifold and carbs off one should be bolton.
Apparently Rover admitted the HS6 on the 2200 limited them; but they
would have
been better on a 2000.

I can confirm that Peter H. has installed HS8 carbs
onto his manifold. He found, as I did with my 2000 TC
when I was investigating installing a pair of new HS6
carbs I had, that the body is longer on an HS8. He is
having trouble adjusting his mixture and fast idle
screws as they contact something (manifold?).

Too bad circumstances didn't permit a visit up there.
As I said - you'll have to come back :-)

Eric
