[ROVERNET - UK] bearings

Lance,

You should be able to walk into any bearing distributor in your
neighborhood and get these bearings, provided that they are still
relatively current sizes. Such a distributor should be able to
determine a match to another bearing manufacturer's equivalent part
number even if they do not stock Timken. I doubt that the bearings
would have to be sourced from the UK.

On the other hand, I heard recently that some bearing manufacturers have
substantially increased prices on slow moving bearing sizes. If the P6
bearings are relatively typical sizes, they might be around $25 ea,
whereas slow moving sizes purportedly could be $250 these days.

If your local bearing guy finds that the P6 bearing are not a standard
size, then someone like Dirk's bearing supplier could be helpful in
sourcing them since he'll want to maintain an established business
relationship.
