[ROVERNET - UK] SD1 for sale on the East coast

Hello all,

A SD1 is for sale in Mass. I went and saw it today but have too many cars
and too many projects. But it was fun to go see the owner who is Dutch and
owns a nice SD1 Twin plenum in Holland. It is for sale cheap and would
relatively easy to get back on the road. It has some rust in the boot but is
recoverable and the rockers are solid. It has a newer pointless ignition a
Mallory I think. The owner would like $1500 and it is worth it but needs to
move it fairly soon. He may take even less. I did win the car on EBay but it
was not up to the condition described and I was looking for a rust free car.
It also has a nice metal sunroof.

If anyone is interested call me or send an email to me and I will put you in
contact with the owner. I can also help out with transportation contacts.

Here is an eBay link from when it was listed copy it into your browser.

Happy Holidays

Hi,

The "hold" comes from the shape of the stiff
first part of the wire behind the handle and the
hole in the fixing. If it doesn't hold this is
worn. I've had this problem myself and it is very
difficult to do anything about it. The only
reliable fix is a new cable. They are available,
even if you may get one with the wrong handle
shape. (On my P6 Rovers I have had at least four different variants.)

Don't know, but Ian Wilson has taken over the stock
from Ray Weekley.
I'll send a link to the P6 Forum where it is
discussed.
