Bill,
I received my copy of the digest format.
I couldn't stand the length and how replies contain
previous messages.  The digest is artifically long.
The annoying digest is not caused by the digest
process but how some members respond to a mailing
list.

I find it easier to take messages as they are posted. 
You can change your settings to individual postings by
going to the Info site and following directions to
change personal settings.
