[ROVERNET - UK] Rovers in Movies

I don't know about that. As a kid I worked hard to retrofit a 3500 hood on
my 1970 TC. For its time it was cool. Funny you mention Gattaca I watched
that a few weeks back just so I could show my kids the Rovers in the Movie.
We paused the DVD and we all agreed they were black. I wonder what happened
to the cars? Was it shot in the UK?

My feeling is that to truly appreciate a classic car as well as having
others less enlightened (non Rover owners) it should remain as close to
stock as one can keep it.

My 3 cents
Dirk

I think you're right James... does anyone remember the 1997 release
"Gattaca" with Ethan Hawke & Uma Thurman? I can't remember whether they
used black P6s or P6Bs for the "retro-futuristic" police cars, but they
definitely had dubbed engine notes! Uma had a nice curvy Citrokn DS
Dicapotable to complement her own figure! Andrew Egginton
