Hi Nathan,

I would assume you are considering the SC that is for sale online. I think
it would cooler to own the SC automatic then it would the TC. So if you get
desperate send me an email and we will see if we can get the parts together
between others like Kent and me to make your dream come true.

Dirk

Hi Nathan,

I did it many years ago and I was generally pleased with the results, except
that you do not get the same foot room next to the pedals given the bigger
tunnel. What took the longest was making a rear mounting for the gearbox.
On my car, it was easy to fit a clutch master because the hole was provided
at manufacture and simply covered by a plate underneath the brake master.
Bear in mind the TC has extractors which may mean some plumbing of the
exhaust. The TC had an oil cooler and the wiser Rovernetters than I may
advise whether this is necessary. As I recall changing the bell housing
only required the necessary bits, under bonnet (I'm in Oz) clearance is no
issue. If you have the engine out why not try to something permanent with
the block side plates. Someone told me that it is possible to fix minor
rust and arrest the development of pin holes by sandblasting and tinning the
back surface with soft solder.

Have fun and let us know how it goes

Cheers Roger
