I changed my rusty old bent dip switch with a new one.......one of the bent
kind with the solid connector block on the wires..........since i couldn't
get the wires into the block because they were too close to the harness, i
cut the connector block off and soldered the old wires and bullets to the
new...........i can get the high beams too flash pulling it back but no
matter how i seem to connect the wires i can't get the high beams to come on
permantly..........don't you just have to push the dip switch up and it
works the high beams....( i don't have a floor switch)...........or have i
got the wrong dip switch...............an aside i have another new one but
it is opposite, in the wiring and insignia direction............do RHD cars
have the headlight dip switch on the right side of the steering
wheel............
If anyone could look at their switch and tell me how it is wired(colour
codes)..one side of the switch has 2 wires (brown and blue/white)....they
seem to work the flashing of the high beams when you pull the
switch...................The other 3 on the front of the switch are blue,
blue/white, and blue/red................one of the 5 was connected in a
double bullet connector
The wires only connect to 4 wires....a brown, blue/white,blue/red and a
blue.........
Don't ask why i didn't mark them or remember...i gashed my head under the
dash and yanked the whole thing out when i ^##@@#%$^%*&&&U
Any help would be appreciated.......or maybe i just have the wrong one for
my year of car.........if you push it up it does make a real click like the
old one
