Are you thinking of th NADA 2000TC (truly NADA and the first 2000TC 
offered for sale anywhere in the world)? That's the one with the blue 
sail panels. Maybe this item on eBay looks like it has a background 
behind the letters. I think that's just part of the retainer system. The 
blue area behind the TC letters on the NADA TC was simply a rectangle of 
blue paint.

The NADA had the aluminum grille. This advertisement specifically states 
that the item is for an "egg crate" grille, which is the plastic grille 
from the MKII new-look cars. Only 220 of those made it to the States.
