[ROVERNET - UK] Cheap parts cleaner

Does the type of vinegar matter?  Clear white vinegar is the cheap stuff
here in the US.  Would it have the same effect?

I'm surprised this works so well.  Any chemists out there who can explain
the chemical reaction taking place?
