[ROVERNET - UK] 2000 starter

I was picking up a load of parts today and was told by the owner that the SC 
he had had a Triumph starter in it ........It turned over much quicker than 
the Rover starter...........He didn,t know what model it was out 
of......Just that the previous owner told him this...........Anyone know 
anything about this being true and if so what kind of a Triumph starter fits 
the 2000
