[ROVERNET - UK] Electrical mystery on P6

Ok.
So far:
1. The alternator behaves correctly voltage wise.
2. The fan belt was suspiciously loose.
3. I have now fitted a shorter belt.
4. The battery was happy (voltage stayed) when left disconnected, but after
an evening of driving with the loose fan belt, went flat enough to just turn
the engine.
