Bill,

I would agree with what you say, but there are some model Rovers attracting
higher prices. A couple of Rover 3.5 Coupes for sale, click on link below,
prove that certain models can appreciate.

Even this P3 75 sounds ok

Subject: [ROVERNET - UK] Rover on ebay

I guess some are missing the point..........The seller feels his car is
probably worth $15,000.............Looking at other classic sedans he may
not be out of line in his thinking...........However in the real world
Rovers would rarely reach this............Yes the cost of replicating it
would be much higher.............A chap from San Diego is having his 67
Rover 2000TC rebuilt with a nut and bolt restoration up here at the world
famous Guild of Restoration.........and he will have spent well over
$100,000.00 when it is complete..(yes you read correct).......Will the car
ever be worth more than say for arguments sake $10-15,000
..........NEVER.........cost of restoration never ( yes in some cases with
really popular or rare models) reflects the cars value when it comes to
sell it...............THE GOLDEN RULE for selling is that you can ask
whatever you want , depending how badly you have to sell
it...........Whether you find a buyer at your price is largely dependant on
how badly they want it...................Too bad Rovers rarely are sought
after by well heeled buyers................only real enthusiasts like us
