[ROVERNET - UK] SD1 3500 US spec.

I have heard that ALL SD1 3500s imported  into the US, met California 
emission specifications.  The vehicle emission control information label, 
on the underside of the bonnet/hood, would read something like this " This 
vehicle conforms to US EPA regulations ...  and California regulations ... 
1980 model year ....." .  Can any one out there confirm this.  Thank you
