Only to know, could something similar happen to 2000 TCs ?

If you have rear end noise in a 3500s, stop driving the car and see to
it 
ASAP. What happens in the diff. is this, the crown wheel bolts come
loose or 
break if they come loose and undo more than a 1/4 turn the head hits the

diff. casing and breaks it I have seen this twice, once in my car and
once 
in a friends. If you can catch it before the damage is done new bolts
fitted 
with lock-tite will fix it. They are special bolts, bolts from a 2000
diff 
will fit.
