That there aren't any rumours of one of the big five auto companies
considering buying it, is telling for the brand image world wide.  Rover
may have nailed its own coffin trying to get the Chinese to come on
board.  The Chinese don't partner up quickly; it's a long trust building
process that requires a Chinese controlled joint venture.  Other car
companies might have been scared off/snubbed.
